I would like to provide you with a quick update regarding the forthcoming highway maintenance work on Station Road and Wrenbury Road, Wrenbury.
- As part of our risk based approach this weekend 11th and 12th June the spray injection patching machine will be repairing areas of the road as a temporary method of improving the carriageway surface for all users. This will be outside The Grange and the Mill at Aston.
This work will be carried out under temporary mobile working traffic management.
- Please be assured that this treatment is not the final stage of carriageway treatment intended for Station Road and Wrenbury Road, but will improve the situation until the drainage issues have been identified and resolved, and we are in a position to then programme the Level 3 resurfacing work.
- There is a meeting planned on Monday 13th June with highway engineers and Network Rail, in order to discuss and obtain permission to work within the restrictions of the level crossing safely.
- Once permissions are granted a full highway drainage CCTV survey will be carried out in the areas of concern. Any issues arising from the survey will be addressed leaving the highway ready for the resurfacing work to be programmed.
